KOJO OPPONG NKRUMAH HIGHLIGHTS SIX KEY REASONS YOUTH SHOULD SUPPORT BAWUMIA IN 2024 ELECTION

Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, the Minister for Works and Housing, has outlined six compelling reasons why the electorate, particularly young Ghanaians, should vote for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) leader, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, in the upcoming election.

Speaking on his newly launched self-titled YouTube channel, Oppong Nkrumah emphasized the NPP’s consistent focus on youth development, pointing to key initiatives from past and present administrations. He highlighted former President John A. Kufuor’s introduction of the capitation grant and President Nana Akufo-Addo’s landmark Free Senior High School (SHS) policy as examples of the party’s commitment to investing in the country’s young people. According to Oppong Nkrumah, Vice President Bawumia is poised to continue and build upon this legacy.

“Dr. Bawumia has a strong vision for the future of our youth,” Oppong Nkrumah stated. “He has developed a comprehensive plan that could create employment opportunities for up to four million young Ghanaians during his presidency.”

One of the flagship projects, he noted, was the government’s Agenda 111, which will create tens of thousands of jobs in the healthcare sector. “Agenda 111 alone will generate 75,000 health-related jobs, with another 75,000 non-health jobs,” he added. “This is a bold vision for Ghana’s youth, and it’s driven by Dr. Bawumia.”

Oppong Nkrumah also emphasized the Vice President’s belief in the transformative power of digitalization, particularly its link to economic growth. He praised Dr. Bawumia’s efforts to position Ghana as a digital economy leader, citing the ongoing digitalization initiatives that aim to streamline processes across various sectors. These include healthcare, transportation, finance, services, and telecommunications, all of which, according to the Minister, will enhance ease of living and economic participation for all Ghanaians.

“Dr. Bawumia understands that the future of our economy is digital,” Oppong Nkrumah said, “and his vision will create opportunities for growth and innovation across every sector of our economy.”
