The chiefs and people of the Nchumuru and Nawuri traditional areas in the Kpandai District of the Northern Region have enthusiastically endorsed Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party’s Flagbearer, for his presidential bid.
Recognizing his pivotal role in transformative initiatives such as the Free Senior High School, Agenda 111, and One-District-One-Factory, the traditional leaders praised Dr. Bawumia’s leadership and commitment to fulfilling policy promises. They believe his contributions have demonstrated his ability to drive comprehensive socio-economic development.
During a meeting in Kpandai on Friday, Nana Bayimgne II and Nana Abuga-Aba I, paramount chiefs of the Nchumuru and Nawuri traditional areas, expressed their support for Dr. Bawumia. They emphasized the pride of the Kpandai people in his efforts as Vice President to assist President Akufo-Addo in implementing impactful policies that address national inequalities.
“The people of Kpandai are proud of you for the role you played as Vice President in helping President Akufo-Addo to implement far-reaching policies addressing the inequalities in the country,”
a statement from the chiefs declared.
“Your administration has demonstrated to the people of Kpandai that equity is a hallmark to you. Your mandate as a Vice President brought significant development in the district.”
The chiefs also commended Dr. Bawumia’s admirable character, urging him to maintain his respectful and humble demeanor. They assured him of their continued support, expressing confidence in his vision for the future.
“Dr. Digitalisation, once again we wish to assure you that we as a people will in due course demonstrate that ‘Breaking the 8 is Possible,”
they affirmed in their statement.
