KPANDAI CHIEFS HAIL BAWUMIA FOR TRANSFORMATIVE DEVELOPMENT IN THE REGION

The Chiefs and people of the Nawuri and Nchumuru traditional areas have lauded the Vice President and NPP Flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, for his instrumental role in driving significant development in their region.

During Dr. Bawumia’s campaign tour in Kpandai on Friday, July 12, 2024, the Paramount Chiefs of the two traditional areas expressed their gratitude and appreciation for his contributions as Vice President in assisting President Akufo-Addo and positively impacting the region’s development.

“The people of Kpandai are proud of you for the role you have played as Vice President in helping His Excellency to implement policies that address inequalities in the country,”

the Chiefs stated in a joint statement.

“Your administration has demonstrated to the people of Kpandai that equality is a hallmark for you.”

The Chiefs detailed the significant developments in the Kpandai district under Dr. Bawumia’s tenure. They praised the free senior high school policy, which has dramatically increased secondary education enrollment, and acknowledged substantial improvements in education, health, and agriculture.

“Kpandai has received a lot of development across the district in education, health, agriculture, among others. Kpandai Senior High School has two new storey classroom blocks, and over 7,000 pieces of furniture and other classroom blocks across the district.”

“On health, Kpandai is also benefiting from the Agenda 111 Hospital, which is about 65% complete, and a number of CHPS compounds across the district.”

“In agriculture, Kpandai also benefited from the One District One Factory initiative, a water harvesting rice field at Lonto and Jangbai. On peace and security, the government has put up a district magistrate court building, a one-storey police office, and a district fire office in Kpandai.”

“Regarding electricity, the district has over 95% coverage, just to mention a few.”

Looking ahead, the Chiefs requested improvements to their road network, particularly the main road linking Kpandai to Krachi, and an enhanced water system to meet the growing population.

The Chiefs conveyed their best wishes to Dr. Bawumia, urging him to continue his commendable work and assuring him of their unwavering support.

“Continue to be who we have known you to be, and your humility will take you far. Concentrate on your 70-point vision for the country. Dr., it is possible.”

“We want to thank you and assure you that we, as a people, will demonstrate that breaking the 8 is possible.”
