Frank Annoh-Dompreh, the Majority Chief Whip of Parliament and Member of Parliament for Adoagyiri-Nsawam Constituency is urging the public, especially Muslims, to make history by voting in large numbers for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), in the upcoming presidential election on December 7, 2024.
Annoh-Dompreh expressed his confidence in Dr. Bawumia’s ability to lead the country if given the mandate. He emphasized the importance of Muslims in Zongo communities in making history and urged them not to miss this opportunity.
During his address at the 2024 National Eid-ul-adha gathering in Adoagyiri on Sunday, June 16, 2024, Annoh-Dompreh highlighted that the 2024 general election presents a unique chance for a Muslim to become President, which previous Northern founders of the party did not have.
The MP for Nsawam-Adoagyiri called on Muslims to vote massively for Dr. Bawumia, promising a new era of development in the country. He contrasted this with John Dramani Mahama and the National Democratic Congress (NDC), stating that they have nothing to offer Ghanaians.
He also mentioned that Mahama plans to take a break, but Dr. Bawumia will seek a renewal of his mandate in 2028 based on his performance. Annoh-Dompreh further highlighted the superior records of the NPP compared to the NDC in various sectors, including education, economic indicators, hospital construction, tourism, sports infrastructure, digitalization, and more.
In addition to his speech, Annoh-Dompreh, along with the Nsawam-Adoagyiri Municipal Chief Executive, Emmanuel Owusu Arthur, made donations to the Zongo community leaders for the Eid-ul-adha celebration. These donations included sheep, bags of rice, cooking oil, tin tomatoes, and an undisclosed amount of money.
The Adoagyiri Municipal Chief Imam conveyed his appreciation to Allah for blessing the nation with a leader such as Dr. Bawumia, who embraces individuals from various backgrounds. He also took the chance to pray for the leaders of the country.
