Minister Stephen Asamoah Boateng (Asabee) urges all NPP members and supporters to rally behind Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s choice of Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh as the running mate.
He emphasizes that the official introduction of Dr. Opoku Prempeh signifies the start of a vigorous campaign period for the NPP leading up to the elections.
During an appearance on News Central on Tuesday, July 9th, he shared with TV3’s Eric Mawuena Egbeta that the NPP would officially introduce the running mate to their flagbearer, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh.
We all expect the party faithful to respect the decision of the flagbearer and that we all rally behind him.
It is an interesting day, it is the beginning of a serious campaign and we tell the party faithful to remain together.
The Jubilee Park in Kumasi is the chosen venue for the upcoming event. Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh received unanimous endorsement from the National Council of the NPP during an emergency meeting in Accra on Thursday, July 4th.
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo expressed confidence in the partnership, stating that it will secure victory for the NPP in the 2024 general elections.
Following the confirmation, President Akufo-Addo informed journalists that the National Council has approved the nomination of Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh as the running mate of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
