Kwamena Duncan strongly criticized former President John Dramani Mahama for the manner in which he launched the national campaign of the National Democratic Congress on Saturday, July 27.
The event took place at the Tamale Jubilee Park, where the party called on Ghanaian voters to reinstate Mahama as their leader. The campaign launch was attended by party members, MPs, and notable personalities such as Kofi Okyere Darko (KOD), Shamima Muslim, and a crowd of NDC supporters.
During a discussion on Peace FM’s “Kokrokoo” programme, Kwamena Duncan expressed his disappointment in Mahama for not showing respect to the traditional leaders in the North.
He pointed out that Mahama failed to visit the traditional authorities before the campaign launch, unlike Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia. This lack of consideration for the traditional leaders, according to Kwamena Duncan, reveals Mahama and his NDC’s true nature.
They have not also given any respect to the traditional authorities.
President Mahama, you went to launch your national campaign, I never saw any visit to any of the paramountcies in the five Northern Regions that, look, this is what we want to do…because he takes them for granted.
