The Director of Communications and Spokesperson for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s campaign, Dennis Miracle Aboagye, has expressed that the claim made by the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Mahama, about winning the December election is not based on reality.
He pointed out that those advising Mr. Mahama are giving him false hope by relying on outdated perceptions of the Ghanaian voter.
I can tell you without doubt that those who are saying things into John Mahama’s head are deceiving him. This is because they are basing their deceit on the Ghanaian voter we had in 1992. The Ghanaian voter we have now is very discerning; the way they analyse their situation is complicated.
Miracles Aboagye’s response is based on a survey conducted by Fitch Solutions, which predicts that former President Mahama will secure 54 percent of the votes in the upcoming December election.
Mike Kruiniger, the Associate Director of Country Risk at Fitch Solutions, emphasized that the current economic situation will play a crucial role in shaping voter preferences on December 7.
Contrary to this, the Director of Communications for the Bawumia campaign team highlighted in an interview on Adom FM’s morning show, Dwaso Nsem Friday, that the decision-making process for Ghanaians is complex and multifaceted.
He expressed his belief that the NPP has effectively addressed the issue of unemployment compared to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) government.
The Ghanaian voter we have now is very discerning; the way they analyze their situation is complicated. Ghanaians are aware that unemployment is still an issue, but between NDC and NPP, the NPP has tackled the issue better.
Miracles Aboagye emphasized the NPP’s dedication to resolving the country’s challenges.
As a political party, we have a lot to do from now to December. We are still in government; we just have to improve the lives of the people for them to decide. Ghanaians are making a choice between two people: Bawumia and Mahama.
We are a listening government, so we will continue to speak to Ghanaians. Each of the economic indicators Mahama took over from 2012 went from bad to worse. Even though we haven’t been able to do everything, we have done better than Mahama.
