MAHAMA IS EAGER TO BE PRESIDENT AGAIN – RICHARD AHIAGBAH

Richard Ahiagbah, the communications director of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), asserts that John Dramani Mahama’s intention to return as president of Ghana is driven by a sense of desperation.

Ahiagbah contends that Mahama lacks innovative ideas and is unable to propose effective solutions for advancing Ghana’s socio-economic development, which contributed to his defeat by Ghanaian voters in the 2016 elections.

In an exclusive interview with Wilberforce Asare, broadcast on the Asaase Breakfast Show on Wednesday, September 18, Ahiagbah remarked that Mahama’s pursuit of the presidency in December is an effort to shed the label of being a one-term president.

Well, you know this is unprecedented, the situation we have in our country. An individual [Mahama] having been dislodged massively by the citizens in a manner that cannot be equivocated is a clear, complete rejection of a president.

It’s never happened in our history before. And so, if that same individual wants to reclaim power, it suggests to you the level of desperation.

And I think that we need to pause there and examine possibly what a John Mahama presidency [would] mean for this country.

It’s a dangerous proposition that we shouldn’t play with for the young people out there who may not remember anything about his presidency.
