Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has criticized John Dramani Mahama, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), for proposing an “empty” 24-hour economy policy.
Dr. Bawumia asserted that ex-president Mahama and his party members struggled to explain the policy due to its lack of substance.
Speaking to supporters at Nalerigu, Dr. Bawumia boldly declared, “He says he has a 24-hour economy policy that he cannot explain. It is as empty as an empty barrel. None of his people can explain it, and they even say they will be exporting lions and elephants.
This follows Dr. Bawumia’s earlier statement that Mahama is avoiding a debate because he fears his policies would be exposed as lacking substance.
Dr. Bawumia reiterated his challenge to Mahama, inviting him to a debate to discuss their respective visions for Ghana. He emphasized his commitment to transparency and accountability.
He added that he will continue to sell the NPP’s policies to Ghanaians, whether Mahama agrees to a debate or not. “If he chooses not to debate, I will continue to sell my policies to the people of Ghana, and you will take the decision.
