MP NELSON KYEREMEH PREDICTS 70% WIN FOR DR. MAHAMUDU BAWUMIA IN BEREKUM EAST

Mr. Nelson Kyeremeh, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Berekum East, has expressed confidence that Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), will secure 70% of the votes in the upcoming December 7 elections.

Reflecting on the 2020 elections, where the NPP garnered 61.23% of the presidential votes in the constituency, Mr. Kyeremeh attributed the anticipated increase in voter support to the significant improvements made in local infrastructure, particularly the town’s access roads.

“In the 2020 election campaign, the Vice President promised to improve the deplorable condition of the Berekum town roads, and he has fulfilled the promise perfectly,” he remarked.

Mr. Kyeremeh made these comments while addressing chiefs and elders of the Zongo community during a large rally in Berekum. The event was held to welcome Hajia Samira Bawumia, wife of the Vice President, as part of her campaign tour to gather support for her husband.

The MP assured the crowd that the people of Berekum are deeply appreciative of the Vice President’s efforts, which have not only enhanced the town’s infrastructure but also its overall appearance.

“We are sincerely grateful to the Vice President, and on behalf of the entire Berekum people, I assure him that we will not let him down. We will show our appreciation by ensuring that he secures at least 70% of our votes,” Mr. Kyeremeh stated, receiving enthusiastic applause from the crowd.

Hajia Bawumia, visibly moved by the warm reception, expressed her excitement and gratitude, noting that the strong support in Berekum reflects the electorate’s trust in Dr. Bawumia. She urged the people to turn out in large numbers on December 7 to vote for her husband, emphasizing his integrity, humility, and dedication to transforming Ghana’s economic fortunes.

Bono Regional Minister, Madam Justina Owusu-Banahene, also commended the people of Berekum for their support, encouraging NPP members to intensify their campaigning and highlight the achievements of the current government. She urged the electorate to re-elect Mr. Kyeremeh as MP to continue his good works.

Additionally, Mr. Kwame Baffoe, the Bono Regional Chairman of the NPP, reminded voters that electing the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the 2024 elections could hinder national development. He stressed that the NPP needs another four years to solidify the Free Senior High School program and other socio-economic interventions to improve living standards in the country.
