MY GOVERNMENT WILL CONSIDER A FIT-FOR-PURPOSE STRUCTURE FOR TRAINING OF PHARMACISTS – DR. BAWUMIA

Vice President and Flagbearer for the New Patriotic Party, Dr. Mahumdu Bawumia has assured the Pharmaceutical Society of Ghana that his government will consider a fit-for-purpose structures for training pharmacists.

Speaking at the conference with stakeholders in the pharmaceutical industry, Dr. Bawumia outlined the importance of a fit-for-purpose structures that will aid in massive growth and development in the pharmaceutical industry, stating that his government will see to this project if given the nod in the upcoming election.

A fit-for-purpose structure for training pharmacists hundred percent agreed. We want to be the best in the sub region, the pharmaceutical industry.

He noted that in order to be at the top there is the need to factor several things like skillfulness and capabilities which will aid in the growth and development of the industry.

There are many aspect of being the best. Human capital, the training is key. Otherwise you won’t be the best.

According to Dr. Bawumia, measures have been put in place to generate resource to fund these projects just like he did with the building of 200 bed hostel for the Trinity Theological Seminary project.

Yesterday I was able to commission a hostel facility to train at the Trinity Theological Seminary and that is something we got GETFUND to do and so if you want to do something as important as the training of pharmacists you have to put the resource there to build it.

Dr. Bawumia during the conference outlined the various policies and projects to aid in the growth and development of the pharmaceutical industry.
