The Second Lady of Ghana, Samira Bawumia, has urged Ghanaians to support her husband, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, in the forthcoming elections scheduled for December.
She emphasized that Dr. Bawumia is ready to dedicate himself to the service of the nation, focusing on the needs and aspirations of the populace to enhance their living standards.
While campaigning in the Eastern Region, Mrs. Bawumia spoke to the chiefs and residents of the Upper West Akyem Constituency, highlighting the significance of the December 7 election for the nation’s future.
She asserted that the NPP candidate possesses a commendable track record and is the ideal leader to advance Ghana’s development. Additionally, she presented Dr. Bawumia’s vision for revolutionizing Ghana’s digital sector, which includes an ambitious plan to cultivate one million digital talents among Ghanaians, aimed at empowering the youth and fostering national progress.
In a similar vein, Kate Gyamfua, the National Women’s Organizer of the NPP, called on party supporters to remain vigilant and avoid complacency, cautioning against allowing the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) to gain traction.
She reiterated that the NPP is the only party with a demonstrated history of development and should be entrusted with the country’s future. Frederick Obeng Adom, the Deputy Transport Minister and NPP Parliamentary candidate for the Upper West Akyem Constituency, echoed this sentiment.
He urged constituents to cast their votes for Dr. Bawumia, highlighting his capacity to drive accelerated development and continue the policies established by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
