The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Presidential Candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has announced that his Women’s Development Fund policy aims to strengthen the financial stability of market women.
On a campaign tour across major markets in the Greater Accra Region, he highlighted the significant contribution of market women to Ghana’s economic growth.
At the Okaishie market, Dr. Bawumia assured traders that this fund would deliver essential financial support to help them grow their businesses.
He further explained his flat tax rate policy, designed to ease the tax load on businesses and address harassment issues with the Ghana Revenue Authority.
With God’s grace, when I become president, I will empower market women. I have multiple policies planned to support them, including reforms in the tax system. We have numerous challenges with the GRA, so starting in 2025, I’ll introduce a flat tax system and provide tax amnesty for all businesses and individuals,
he affirmed.
