Maxwell Kofi Jumah, the CEO of GIHOC Distilleries, has expressed his desire to be considered as the vice presidential candidate alongside Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the presidential nominee of the New Patriotic Party (NPP)
During an interview on Okay FM, a radio station in Accra, Mr. Jumah expressed his belief that his appointment would effectively address the uproar and unrest surrounding the eagerly awaited nomination.
They should give it to me and stop talking. Everything will end and everybody will stop campaigning. I will then be addressed as honorable His Excellency Vice President Kofi Jumah.
With increasing pressure, several individuals have been identified as possible candidates for the position of running mate.
Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the Energy Minister, Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, the Majority Leader, Joseph Osei-Owusu, the First Deputy Speaker, and Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, the Education Minister, are among the individuals speculated to be potential candidates for the position. There have been rumors suggesting that Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, and Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu are the leading contenders for the role.
