The Chief Executive of STC and the Deputy Chairman of the Bawumia campaign team have expressed their astonishment regarding the mention of ‘Nightclub’ in Mahama’s proposed 24-hour economy initiative.
Recently, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) unveiled his manifesto at the University of Education, Winneba, detailing the policies he intends to implement to enhance the living standards of Ghanaians should he be elected as President.
A significant aspect of his proposal is the “24-hour economy” program, which is designed to operate on a three-shift system, each lasting eight hours. During his address to party members, Mahama remarked:
Hospitality industry; our restaurants, our discotheques, our night clubs, our hotels, 24/7, 24 hours a day.
Nana Akomea, during his appearance on Peace FM’s ‘Kokrokoo’, expressed his fascination with Mahama’s mention of nightclubs in the context of his discussion on a 24-hour economy.
So will there be day clubs too because night clubs operate at night? 24-hour night clubs; so what time will we go to work?
