Twenty orphanages in the Ashanti Region have received a variety of food items and educational materials aimed at significantly enhancing the living conditions of the children.
The donated items comprised 2,000 units of 5kg rice, 2,040 units of one-liter cooking oil, 2,400 units of mackerel and sardines, 10,000 exercise books, 1,000 pencils, and 1,000 pens.
This generous contribution was made by Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, also known as ‘Napo’, who serves as the running mate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP). For many years, Napo has been assisting 16 orphanages in the region every three months.
However, this occasion marked an expansion in the number of beneficiaries to 20 orphanages. On Tuesday, Nana Ama Tima Boakye, Deputy CEO of the Petroleum Hub Development Corporation (PHDC), presented the items on behalf of Napo, stating, “Orphanages hold a special place in Dr. Prempeh’s heart.”
She assured the recipient homes that Napo would continue to offer support in various forms to help them care for the children effectively. Among the beneficiary homes are King Jesus Charity Home, Trinity House of Grace, Heartsmile Orphanage Home, Patmos Residential Home for Children, and Cherub Orphanage Home in Apire, among others.
Children from these homes expressed their gratitude through prayers for God’s ongoing blessings and protection for Dr. Prempeh.
