Dr. Gideon Boako stated that Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has selected an excellent running mate in Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh.
He is confident that the Member of Parliament for Manhyia South will complement the New Patriotic Party (NPP)’s 2024 election ticket perfectly. Dr. Boako believes that Dr. Opoku Prempeh will effectively offset Dr. Bawumia’s weaknesses and vice versa.
During an interview with JoyNews on Thursday, July 4, Dr. Boako urged Ghanaians to have patience and recognize the strengths of the ticket.
He stressed that both Dr. Opoku Prempeh and Dr. Bawumia are determined achievers, making them an ideal duo to lead the country forward.
It is only God who is infallible. Dr Bawumia may have his shortfalls and weaknesses and Napois also comes in with his strengths and weaknesses. That is why we do SWOT analysis and I can tell you that Napo is the perfect complement to Dr Bawumia.
The endorsement of the decision by the flagbearer Dr Mahamudu Bawumia to select Energy Minister, Matthew Opoku Prempeh as his running mate for the upcoming elections was confirmed by the National Council following discussions with the National Executive Council and the National Steering Committee of the party.
Opoku Prempeh, also known as NAPO, serves as the Member of Parliament for Manhyia South and previously held the position of Education Minister.
This choice is viewed as a strategic maneuver by Bawumia to strengthen his backing within the party and nationwide, particularly in the Ashanti region.
