Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the vice-presidential candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has initiated a six-day tour of the Eastern Region, commencing today, Wednesday, October 9, and concluding on Monday, October 14, 2024.
This tour is designed to invigorate the party’s supporters and garner backing for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in the forthcoming elections scheduled for December.
Day 1: Wednesday, October 9 –
Dr. Prempeh will visit Afram Plains South and Afram Plains North Constituencies respectively.
Day 2: Thursday, October 10-
The running mate will pay a courtesy call on Okyenhene, Osagyefuo Amoatia Ofori Panin followed by visits to Abuakwa South and Fanteakwa North for a program.
Day 3: Friday, October 11 –
Dr. Prempeh will participate in the CBOD Energy Manifesto Townhall in Accra and later visit Upper Manya Krobo.
Day 4: Saturday, October 12-
A durbar at Okyenhene’s Palace and a visit to Upper West Akyem are scheduled for the day.
Day 5 & 6: Sunday, October 13 – Monday, October 14 –
Dr. Prempeh will wrap up his tour with visits to Akwatia and Ayensuano on Monday.
The tour constitutes a segment of Dr. Prempeh’s campaign, which is centered on engaging constituents across the nation and commenced in the Ashanti Region in August.
The running mate has been actively garnering support for Dr. Bawumia, emphasizing the accomplishments of the NPP in the areas of education, healthcare, industrial development, and employment generation.
As the December elections approach, Dr. Prempeh’s tour of the Eastern Region is vital for consolidating votes for the NPP.
