Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, also known as Napo, the running mate to Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has reaffirmed the NPP government’s commitment to providing reliable electricity across the country. He made these remarks while supporting the graduands of the United Hairdressing and Beauticians Association in Kumasi.
At the graduation ceremony in Kumasi, Napo praised the hard work and success of the association’s graduands, recognizing their dedication and the opportunities created through government empowerment initiatives. He emphasized the importance of consistent electricity for businesses, particularly those in the hairdressing and beauty sectors.
Referring to the progress Ghana has made over the past eight years under the current administration, Napo pointed out the significant reduction in power outages.
It’s been 8 years, and the lights have been kept on,
When you pray, say a prayer for the giver to give more.
He then posed a direct question to the audience, particularly the hairdressers, asking,
Do you want light or darkness?
Napo stressed that the NPP government will continue to provide the necessary resources, including stable electricity, to enable businesses to thrive, while the NDC would likely reverse these gains.
The NPP government will provide you electricity to work with, while the NDC will bring back power outages,
he stated.
Napo urged the graduands and all those present to recognize the positive changes brought about by the NPP and continue to support the party in the upcoming election. He stressed that the success of the hairdressing and beautician industry was a testament to the government’s commitment to empowerment and development
