Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, Vice Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party, has made an impassioned plea to the residents of Sefwi Bodi in the Western North Region to rethink their voting habits, as they have consistently supported the NDC without seeing significant development as a result.
During a rally in Amoaya within the Sefwi Bodi Constituency, the New Patriotic Party’s running mate to Bawumia stressed the importance of changing leadership. He highlighted the underwhelming performance of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) representatives over the past 12 years, calling for a new direction for the community.
Since the beginning of the Fourth Republic in 1992, constituents in Sefwi Bodi have consistently voted for the NDC in both Parliamentary and Presidential elections.
I’m appealing to the chiefs and people to rally together and cast a decisive vote for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to guide the next chapter of the nation’s forward movement. I’m also wondering why the constituencies, which have been so loyal to the NDC is lagging behind in terms of development
Unlike the NDC, the ruling NPP is a party which believes in all-inclusive development, and has, therefore, spread development projects to many parts of the country, including the Western North.
he stated.
He also expressed gratitude to the chiefs and all stakeholders in the constituency for their warm reception and expressed confidence that Nicholas Andoh would be able to unseat the NDC MP. He voiced disappointment with the NDC’s time in office, highlighting that the region has experienced minimal progress under their representation.
Dr. Henry Kwabena Kokofu, Senior Campaign Aide to NAPO, expressed his strong belief in the NPP’s ability to address the many challenges facing the people. He pointed out that the current member of parliament has let the constituents down, failing to meet their needs and expectations.
