NAPO’S IMPACT AND ENTHUSIASM CAPTIVATES BEKWAI

The political landscape is indeed gaining momentum, and the spirited enthusiasm of Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the running mate of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has invigorated the NPP 2024 Campaign within the Bekwai Constituency.

Affectionately known as NAPO, he has undertaken two significant visits to the Bekwai constituency in a mere span of four days. This remarkable initiative underscores his profound respect for the traditional leaders and the residents of Bekwai.

On September 21, 2024, Dr. Opoku Prempeh made his initial visit to the Amoafo and Bekwai traditional councils, where he introduced himself as the NPP’s running mate for the forthcoming elections.

Shortly thereafter, he broadened his outreach by meeting with the paramount chief and elders of the Kokofu traditional council. These engagements were designed to seek blessings, express respect, and convey the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) message of hope and advancement for Ghana.

In his addresses, Dr. Opoku Prempeh pledged to visit all seven paramountcies in Bekwai prior to the elections on December 7. He urged the chiefs to inspire their communities to rally behind the NPP, emphasizing the government’s accomplishments, including the Free SHS initiative and other vital developmental projects.

Additionally, he endorsed Lawyer Ralph Poku-Adusei as the candidate to succeed Hon. Joe Osei Owusu and cautioned against independent candidates who might jeopardize the party’s unity and success. The running mate highlighted Bekwai’s prominent position within the Ashanti Region, which is home to seven paramount chiefs and nine Abrempong, all loyal to the Golden Stool.

He committed to ensuring that the NPP secures significant victories in both the presidential and parliamentary elections. Dr. Opoku Prempeh’s campaign has revitalized the grassroots support for the NPP, energizing party officials and supporters in the Bekwai constituency, thereby creating a surge in momentum as the December elections approach.
