NPP CAN WIN THE ELECTION BUT LOSE MORE SEATS IN PARLIAMENT – ADOMAKO KISSI

Dr. Dickson Adomako Kissi, the Member of Parliament for Anyaa-Sowutuom, has proposed that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) could secure the presidency with Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as the flagbearer, despite potentially losing seats in Parliament.

This suggestion follows a report by Fitch Solutions which indicated a high likelihood of the NDC winning the upcoming December elections.

Dr. Adomako Kissi expressed skepticism about the prediction during an appearance on the Big Issue on Channel One TV, pointing to examples from other countries where ruling parties experienced seat losses but still maintained power.

He emphasized the uncertainty of the situation leading up to December 7, citing instances from France and South Africa where similar scenarios unfolded.

Dr. Adomako Kissi highlighted the possibility of the NPP retaining power with Bawumia as president while experiencing a decrease in parliamentary seats, potentially dropping from 138 to 102.

He reassured that the NPP is not complacent about the prediction and is actively striving to secure another term in office.

My key point today Is that for me, from a mathematical standpoint and based on trends in the rest of the world, France’s sitting government lost 100 seats, but Macron is still in charge. My key point here is that there’s even a possibility, and all of us can hear me out, that Bawumia wins and NPP numbers in Parliament drops, that possibility is very, very possible, considering how things have happened in another jurisdiction.

ANC literally lost many seats; they are still there. When you go to England, the reverse happened. That’s why I’m saying that who knows, our 138 may come to 102, and then still retain power, that’s also a possibility.
