NPP IS POISED FOR VICTORY – DR. BAWUMIA

The party’s flag bearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has assured supporters that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) is in excellent shape and will win in 2024.

With 89 days left before the elections, he said, the party will need to put in a lot of effort and come together to win.

To ensure that we turn out our voters on election day, he continued, “we have to work hard and come together, unified in every constituency, every electoral area, and every polling station.”

Shortly after submitting his nomination at the EC Office, Dr. Bawumia told party supporters in an address at the NPP headquarters that the narrative had shifted and the party now had momentum.

He claimed that a year ago the party’s opponents exuded confidence, but that today things had changed and they now saw themselves as the underdogs in the elections.

The Vice-President also discussed the National Health Insurance Plan’s cancelation, the National Ambulance Service’s collapse, and the cancellation of teacher and nursing training allowances. There were also four years of power outages (dumsor).

He claimed that after Nana Akufo-Addo led the NPP to victory in 2017, the administration acted swiftly and things went comparatively smoothly.

He claimed that although there had been storms along the road, the administration had persevered.

In comparison to its primary rival, the National Democratic Congress, he said the party had produced more jobs, built more courtshouses, public libraries, sports facilities, hospitals, schools, and sanitary facilities, as well as fiber optic cables.

He reiterated that the party has reinstated teacher and nurse training allowances, brought free senior high school education and training, technical and vocational education and training (TVET), and “now we want to move this country into a digital age.”

He pleaded with the party’s followers to have faith in the NPP’s ability to transform the nation.
