The governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) is unwavering in its commitment to securing victory in the upcoming December 7 general election, as asserted by Hackman Owusu-Agyeman, the Chairman of the NPP National Council of Elders.
Losing is simply not an option in this election. We will do everything in our power to win,
He declared emphatically, underscoring the party’s determination.
Mr. Owusu-Agyeman, who previously served as the Foreign Affairs Minister during former President Kufuor’s administration, shared these insights during an interview with the Daily Graphic following a meeting of the party’s Council of Elders held in Accra. The gathering was designed to engage with the youth of the party, allowing for a constructive dialogue about the party’s direction and strategy.
This meeting is part of a larger mentorship program initiated by the NPP’s National Council of Elders. The program aims to instill key values such as the party’s philosophy, ideology, selflessness, and patriotism in its younger members, ensuring that the next generation of leaders is well-prepared to carry forward the party’s mission.
Emphasizing the importance of unity among party members, Mr. Owusu-Agyeman stated,
We need to come together and let the nation recognize the good work this government has accomplished.
He highlighted the significant strides made by the party despite the challenges faced in recent years.
The difficulties of the past notwithstanding, we have achieved a great deal. We deserve a second chance from Ghanaians to continue our work and implement our vision for a better future,
He concluded, rallying the party members to focus on their shared goals as the election approaches.
