The Vice President and Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has praised the party’s presidential ticket, highlighting them as a blend of “youthful energy, innovation, problem-solving, and forward-thinking.”
He expressed confidence that the NPP Presidential ticket would effectively propel the country towards greater development and increased job opportunities.
Dr. Bawumia asserted that the NPP outperforms the NDC in key areas such as road infrastructure, railways, education, health, and digitization.
These remarks were made by the NPP flagbearer, Dr. Bawumia, during the official introduction of Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh as his running mate for the 2024 election in Kumasi on Tuesday.
Dr. Bawumia described the NPP’s presidential ticket as a well-prepared team poised to lead the party to victory in the December 7 election.
He expressed confidence in his running mate’s ability to complement his efforts in achieving victory, stating, “I hold him in high regard; he is a problem-solver, a forward-thinking leader, and I have complete faith in him.”
Dr. Bawumia hinted at unveiling the party’s 2024 election manifesto next month, outlining the policies and goals of the party.
Earlier, Mr. Kennedy Agyapong, the MP for Assin Central and former flagbearer aspirant, called for unity within the party. He urged those with grievances to reconcile, emphasizing the need for a cohesive front to secure a decisive victory on December 7.
He also urged Party leadership to respect grassroots supporters to ensure their active participation in Party activities.
The party’s campaign theme is “Bold Solutions for the Future.”
