NPP REGIONAL CHAIR PROMISES VICTORY IN CENTRAL REGION -RICHARD TAKYI MENSAH

The ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) is optimistic about securing the majority of votes in the Central Region during the upcoming elections on December 7. This region has traditionally oscillated between the NPP and the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

Analysts believe the Central Region once again holds a crucial key to this year’s presidential election, as it has in the past. They point to its diverse voter base, influenced by the many educational institutions in the area, as a key factor in its steadfastness.

Despite winning the 2020 presidential election, the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) only managed to retain ten of the nineteen parliamentary seats in the Central Region.

In an interview with Kwaku Nhyira-Addo on the Asaase Breakfast Show regarding Bawumia’s current campaign, NPP Central Regional Chairman Richard Takyi Mensah stated that the party has learned from its past experiences and aims to make significant gains in the upcoming election.

Nationwide, about twelve landing sites are being constructed and I can say that my Central Region alone can boast of about seven. We have gotten a fair share of the national cake

The NPP government has earmarked sea defence projects to protect coastal communities that are being ravaged by the sea, come and see the massive road infrastructure in the region

So with these achievements coupled with the bold solutions and vision of Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, these are the two things that the people will depend on to retain the NPP in power come 7 December
