The NPP Sweepers Group launched their Campus Invasion initiative at the University of Ghana, Legon, on Friday, November 22, 2024, with the objective of engaging young voters and garnering their support for the forthcoming general elections.
The day commenced with an energetic outreach starting from Legon Hall, progressing through Commonwealth Hall, Akuafo Hall, and various other residential areas.
A significant number of students participated, creating an atmosphere filled with enthusiasm and interaction. The Sweepers conducted engaging sessions that allowed students to voice their opinions, concerns, and commendations regarding the notable advancements achieved by the NPP government, especially in the education sector.
The highlight of the event occurred at the Legon-Okponglo taxi rank, where the team was joined by prominent NPP figures, including Mr. Nana Akwasi Awuah, Esq., the Managing Director of Precious Minerals Marketing Company LTD (PMMC), and Madam Lydia Atiemo.
They delivered compelling speeches that underscored the necessity of youth participation in national development and political processes. They emphasized the accomplishments of the NPP government, such as enhancements in education, technological progress, and job creation, urging students to support Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and their local parliamentary candidates.
The Chief Sweeper, David Nkansa Anto (DNA), led the NPP Sweepers Group, accompanied by team members Miller, Classics, Skinny, Mingle, Entertainment, Snow, Yaw Boampong, Fred Addo, Oman, George Sarpong, and Kobby Amoah.
The Campus Invasion initiative is part of a larger campaign by the NPP Sweepers aimed at connecting with tertiary students across the nation. The group seeks to present the NPP’s vision for the future while addressing the unique needs and aspirations of the youth.
