The NPP National Organiser, Henry Nana Boakye, revealed this on Adom FM’s morning show, Dwaso Nsem, on Thursday. The walk is part of the activities planned for the party’s manifesto launch on Sunday, August 18, 2024, in preparation for the December 7 election.
Nana B, as he is commonly known, explained that the walk aims to prepare Ghanaians and energize the party’s supporters. It will take place on Sunday morning, starting from Fijai Junction and concluding at the Effiakuma Astro Turf.
He described the walk as “John the Baptist” because it will set the stage for the victory manifesto 2024, also known as the Yesu manifesto, which will be launched at 2 pm. He praised the manifesto committee, chaired by Kyei Mensah Bonsu, for their excellent work.
Nana B also mentioned that prominent figures such as former President John Kufuor, President Nana Akufo-Addo, Vice President and NPP flagbearer Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, and his running mate, Dr. Matthew Opoku-Prempeh, will attend the event. He assured me that the police would be present to ensure maximum security and orderliness.
