The New Patriotic Party is projected to secure a decisive majority in the 9th Parliament in the upcoming year.
According to a recent study conducted by Prof. Smart Sarpong, the party is expected to surpass the opposition National Democratic Congress by a significant margin.
At present, Parliament is evenly divided, with both the NPP Majority and NDC Minority Caucuses holding 137 seats each, alongside one independent candidate who has allied with the majority.
Findings from Prof. Smart Sarpong’s research, released on Thursday, November 21, suggest that the New Patriotic Party is anticipated to obtain 128 seats, while the National Democratic Congress is expected to secure 92 in the elections scheduled for December 7.
The survey indicates that there are still 56 constituencies available, with both the NPP and NDC likely to achieve an equal distribution of these seats. Prof. Smart Sarpong further notes that the NPP has the potential to increase its representation in the Legislative House.
it is clear from this report that by close of elections 2024, NPP shall secure NOT LESS THAN 148 SEATS in parliament.
Prof. Smart Sarpong arrived at these conclusions after collecting responses from more than 90,000 individuals across 276 constituencies throughout the nation. Additionally, his research was grounded in data from over 4,000 communities within the country.
