Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the Flagbearer for the New Patriotic Party(NPP), will be officially introduced as the NPP-USA Branch’s presidential candidate.
This event is a significant part of the NPP-USA Branch’s 30th Anniversary celebrations. The branch, established in September 1993, held its inaugural Congress in Virginia, USA, to formalize its formation.
Throughout the past three decades, NPP-USA has played a crucial role in the party’s growth and success. It has actively advocated for a democratic society, fought for political power, championed constitutional reform, promoted innovation and technology in electoral processes, and established the External Affairs office, among other important initiatives.
The outdooring ceremony for the Presidential Candidate will highlight the immense support and solidarity he receives from the Ghanaian community in North America. This event reaffirms NPP-USA’s unwavering commitment to ensuring its victory in the 2024 General Elections in Ghana.
Furthermore, the event will include an award ceremony to honor patriots who have contributed to the branch’s development, as well as a fundraising activity to support the New Patriotic Party’s campaign and election efforts in 2024.
According to the Chairperson USA, Obaa Yaa Amponsah Frimpong, the event will take place on Saturday, May 25th, 2024, at the Hilton Alexandria Mark Center, located at 5000 Seminary Road, Alexandria, VA 22311.
