The USA branch of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) has launched its first Tertiary Students Confederacy (TESCON) branch at the University of Memphis.
The new executive team was inaugurated on Friday, October 18, and is poised to enhance the party’s presence among Ghanaian students in the United States.
Kelvin Gyimah Agyei has been elected president, with Seth Preprah as vice-president, Ellen Brefo Agyei as secretary, and Betty Duah Agyeman as treasurer.
Other executives include Twumasi Daniel Kodua as organizer, Maame Serwaa Owusu as women’s organizer, Felix Preprah as communications officer, Jeffrey Kwakye Akosah as deputy secretary, and Gloria Obeng as deputy organizer.
The executives were sworn in by NPP-USA branch chairperson Mrs. Obaa Yaa Amponsah Frimpong, with witnesses including Vice-Presidential Candidate Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, NPP-USA branch youth organizer Danny Opoku Antwi, NPP national organizer Henry Nana Boakye (Nana B), and other party leaders.
