Matthew Opoku Prempeh, commonly referred to as ‘Napo’, the vice-presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has forecasted a significant victory for the NPP in the upcoming elections on December 7.
Expressing strong confidence, he asserted that the NPP has a superior track record in governance, which the party intends to leverage in its bid to maintain political authority.
Consequently, Napo urged voters to evaluate the achievements of both the NPP and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) prior to making their electoral decision on December 7, 2024.
Ghanaians should look at the NPPs good works in eight years in political office and compare them with that of the NDC before they cast their ballots.
And if the electorates compare our records definitely, they will vote massively for the NPP because we have superior records.
The NPP’s vice-presidential candidate asserted that the NPP holds the keys to the nation’s development, emphasizing the critical importance of the populace renewing their mandate to continue the party’s positive initiatives.
Napo stated that the administration of President Akufo-Addo and Dr. Bawumia has set the country on a trajectory toward prosperity, highlighting the necessity of maintaining NPP’s political leadership.
He further expressed confidence that Dr. Bawumia is the ideal candidate to carry on the exemplary work of the NPP, affirming that the party is genuinely committed to the nation’s welfare, which will motivate voters to support the NPP.
Additionally, he remarked that former President Mahama, the NDC’s presidential candidate, is aware of his impending defeat in the 2024 elections and has secretly begun strategizing for a potential candidacy in the 2028 elections.
Mahama has made his 2028 appearance already. That’s why he doesn’t pick a running mate that will upstage him. Mahama doesn’t want any challenger within the NDC.
The individual asserts that the leadership of the NDC is acutely aware of the impending defeat they face in the upcoming December 7 elections, prompting them to take extensive measures to avert such an outcome.
Furthermore, he remarked that many prominent figures within the NDC have descended upon the Ashanti Region with the intention of manipulating the voting process.
He emphasized that regardless of the NDC’s efforts, the NPP is poised to achieve a significant victory in the Ashanti Region.
