NPP’S TEMA EAST CHAIRMAN DECLARES 2024 VICTORY FOR BAWUMIA A “DONE DEAL”

The New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Chairman for the Tema East Constituency, Nene Ofoe Teye-Chu Agbadiagba IV, has confidently asserted that the victory of their presidential candidate, Dr. Bawumia, in the 2024 elections is guaranteed.

In an exclusive interview with journalists in Ada on Friday, Nene emphasized that various factors in political strategy strongly favor Dr. Bawumia’s success.

“First, Dr. Bawumia has eloquently put out cogent policies that he will pursue as president; none of his challengers, especially the National Democratic Congress presidential candidate, John Mahama, has been able to do the same,” Nene stated. He highlighted the significant developmental policies introduced by the NPP, such as free SHS, one village one dam, planting for food and jobs, and NABCO, as strong points in favor of Bawumia’s candidacy.

Moreover, Nene pointed out the absence of corruption allegations against Dr. Bawumia, contrasting him with his main opponent. “If you listen to many voters too, they tell you that the 2024 election will be a decider between analogue governance and digital governance; with John Mahama looking to distribute hen coops while Dr. Bawumia is pushing the transformational agenda of digitalization,” Nene explained. This comment refers to the former president’s controversial promise to provide chicken coops to support small-scale poultry farming, which has been widely mocked on social media as outdated.

Nene elaborated on the current government’s ongoing support for poultry farmers through the rearing for food and jobs program, which assists with feed and chicks to expand poultry farms, rendering Mahama’s promise obsolete. “Mr. Mahama’s backward promise shows you that he has not even been keeping himself abreast of happenings in the country; why would Ghanaians risk this country again in his hands?” he questioned.

Nene also praised Dr. Bawumia’s choice of running mate, Energy Minister Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, calling it a genius move that sets the stage for a significant victory in the 2024 elections. “We are winning by one touch and nothing can stop the upcoming victory which will also be historic because it will, for the first time in Ghanaian politics, break the unspoken eight-year relay rule,” Nene Ofoe Teye-Chu Agbadiagba IV concluded.
