OPPOSE MAHAMA’S REINSTATEMENT TO AUTHORITY – DR. BAWUMIA

The representative of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has warned Ghanaians about the potential consequences of reinstating former President John Dramani Mahama, referencing his poor performance while in office.

During his campaign tour focused on various constituencies in the Eastern Region, Dr. Bawumia pointed out that Mahama managed to deliver on only 28% of his campaign commitments as President, even in the absence of significant global economic challenges during his administration.

Ghanaians don’t need to go back to a leader who woefully failed and only fulfilled 28% of his promises as President.

We have faced unprecedented global economic challenges, but our government has made significant strides in fulfilling its campaign promises.

Dr. Bawumia’s remarks arise as former President Mahama aims to reclaim his position in the forthcoming elections, representing the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).

In a subsequent statement, the NPP flagbearer utilized his Facebook platform to underscore the necessity for new leadership in Ghana. He highlighted the importance of having a leader who possesses innovative ideas and a courageous vision for the nation’s future.

Ghana needs a new leader with fresh and innovative ideas and a mindset to craft and implement bold solutions for the future.

This assertion underscores his previous critique of former President Mahama’s leadership, which he characterized as profoundly insufficient.

We don’t need to go back to a leader who woefully failed and only fulfilled 28% of his promises as President, even in the absence of the sort of global economic crisis we have faced recently. Let’s look forward and not backward.

The NPP flagbearer asserts that Ghana is entitled to improved governance, emphasizing the necessity for a new generation of leaders to assume leadership roles.
