PRIORITIZE COMPETENCE RATHER THAN RELIGIOUS FACTORS – NAPO

Ghanaian voters have been urged to prioritize competence over religious affiliation or other factors when making their choices in the upcoming December elections.

Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, known as ‘Napo’ and the Vice Presidential Candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), emphasized the necessity of having a capable leader for the nation’s advancement.

Napo firmly asserted that Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia, a dedicated Muslim, is the most qualified and appropriate individual to assume the presidency. During his campaign tour in the Ashanti Region, specifically at Afrancho in the Afigya Kwabre South Constituency, he remarked that Ghanaians share a collective destiny.

In this context, he advised the electorate to focus on selecting a president who possesses the requisite knowledge and skills for effective leadership.

In voting for the next president of our dear country, I’m urging you to cast your ballots for the person who can sustain the gains that have been achieved in the last 8 years.

Napo, addressing an audience comprising traditional leaders and Imams, emphasized that Ghanaians are fortunate to have historically enjoyed a state of peace and harmony.

He specifically conveyed his satisfaction regarding the religious unity present in the nation and commended the chiefs for their significant role in fostering peaceful coexistence within the country.

Chiefs are neither Muslims nor pastors, but they give their lands for the establishment of churches and mosques for worship, and that is the beauty of being a Ghanaian.

Where a person is coming from or his/her religion is not important. What is important is what the person can do as president to lead our country into prosperity.
