REWARD DR. BAWUMIA WITH YOUR VOTES – SAMIRA BAWUMIA TO ZONGO COMMUNITIES IN ASHANTI REGION

The spouse of the Vice-President, Hajia Samira Bawumia, has encouraged Zongo communities in the Ashanti Region to extend their support to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and its presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, in light of the approaching 2024 general elections.

The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has historically maintained a strong connection with the Zongo communities, a relationship that traces back to the tenure of the party’s founder, the late Jerry John Rawlings.

As the elections on December 7 draw near, the NDC has projected that it will capture between 80 to 90% of the votes from these communities.

Nevertheless, during an event held in Abofour Zongo within the Offinso South Constituency of the Ashanti Region on Tuesday, October 8, the Second Lady urged the Zongo communities to reassess this longstanding pattern.

She highlighted the NPP’s dedication to unity and inclusivity, referencing the party’s historic appointment of Alhaji Aliu Mahama as Ghana’s first Muslim vice-president as evidence of the NPP’s commitment to representing the interests of all Ghanaians.

And now we have Dr Bawumia leading us because the party believes in his vision for a better Ghana. NPP has shown unwavering support for us and of course, the Christian community is voting for him. It is time for Zongos to reciprocate this love by voting massively for him.

To our women, Dr. Bawumia has good news for you. He plans to establish the Women’s Trade Empowerment Fund to facilitate easier access to financial resources for female entrepreneurs, particularly those engaged in small to medium-sized enterprises. We know the pivotal role women play in our household, and he is poised to make things happen.

The digitalisation agenda will be on course under Bawumia’s presidency. Beneficiaries of the “Free SHS” programme and over one million digital jobs will be created through the digital training programme.
