Lady Hajia Samira Bawumia recently showcased her dedication to maternal health by providing a variety of medical supplies to the Oti Region.
The Worawora Government Hospital and health centers in the Biakoye District/Constituency, as well as the Damanko Health Centre and CHPS Compound in the Nkwanta North District/Constituency, were the recipients of these donations.
This initiative is part of the Samira Empowerment and Humanitarian Projects (SEHP) to enhance overall health outcomes and advocate for universal healthcare for women and children in Ghana.
The Second Lady distributed medical supplies and equipment, such as beds with mattresses, medical attire, digital infrared thermometers, and earloop face masks, at the Worawora Government Hospital and health centers in the Biakoye District/Constituency.
Mrs. Bawumia also made similar contributions at the Damanko Health Centre and CHPS Compound in the Nkwanta North District/Constituency.
This is not the first time that the Second Lady has supported the Oti Region, as she previously donated medical supplies and equipment worth around GH₵500,000 to nine health facilities in the Nkwanta North District and Nkwanta South Municipality in 2019.
The SEHP, established by the Second Lady, is a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the well-being of women, children, and youth in marginalized communities throughout Ghana.
