SOMEONE WHO WANTS TO CANCEL THE DOUBLE TRACK SYSTEM IS PROPOSING A 3-SHIFT SYSTEM? – CID MOCKS MAHAMA

John Mahama, the former President and candidate of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), has emphasized that his forthcoming administration will eliminate the double-track system currently implemented in the Free Senior High School (SHS) program.

He has emphasized that, if elected, his forthcoming administration will take decisive action to eliminate the double-track system that is currently in place within the Free Senior High School (SHS) program.

We will abolish the double track system so that all our children can go to school at the same time and vacate at the same time.

An additional component of his manifesto includes a commitment to establish a 24-hour economy, which he asserts will facilitate a three-shift system, allowing businesses and workers to function within an eight-hour timeframe.

Hospitality industry; our restaurants, our discotheques, our night clubs, our hotels , 24/7, 24 hours a day.

The District Chief Executive for Amansie South, Lawyer Clement Opoku Gyamfi, has raised significant concerns regarding the 24-hour economy policy.

During his appearance on Peace FM’s “Kokrokoo” program, he expressed disbelief at former President Mahama’s commitment to abolishing the double track system, which operates on two shifts to enhance the education of Ghanaian children, while simultaneously urging voters to support him in establishing a three-shift system as part of his 24-hour economy initiative.

How on earth can someone who is promising to scrap a shift system which is even an intervention to curb school dropout, then you turn round and promise a three-shift system. You say two shifts is bad but three shifts now, to you, is better. If any shift is not good, why do you have to promise another shift?
