Hon. Daniel Kwaku Botwe has urged the Chairpersons and coordinators of polling stations within the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to remain resolute and dedicated to their responsibilities as the party gears up for the significant elections on the horizon.
During his visit to the Ayensuano Constituency, Hon. Botwe, who previously served as the Minister for Local Government and Rural Development and currently holds the position of NPP Campaign Chairman for the 2024 general elections, encouraged party officials to resist complacency and maintain a sharp focus on achieving success in the upcoming elections.
He stressed the necessity for “unwavering commitment” to their duties, calling on them to overcome any negative sentiments or indifference that might impede the party’s prospects.
In a session with polling station chairpersons and coordinators, Hon. Botwe underscored the critical nature of their positions, reminding them of their essential role as primary mobilizers for the party.
He organized the constituency into three distinct zones: Anum Apapam, Coalter, and Asuboi, and engaged the executives and polling station chairpersons in individual discussions to invigorate them for the challenges that lie ahead.
NPP is the only political party with the wisdom and policies that bring meaningful development and impact the lives of Ghanaians.
We cannot let apathy or any negativity derail the progress we have made. Let us focus and work together until victory is secured.
Hon. Botwe conveyed a sense of optimism regarding the party’s prospects of regaining parliamentary seats that were lost to the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) during the 2020 elections, attributing these setbacks to a lack of enthusiasm within the party.
He assured the audience of ongoing efforts aimed not only at reclaiming those lost seats but also at capturing additional constituencies currently held by the NDC in the Eastern Region.
The Constituency Secretary for Ayensuano, Hon. Ernest Akuffo, praised Hon. Botwe for his engagement. He remarked that the interaction had revitalized the morale of the party’s grassroots leadership and instilled a renewed sense of hope and motivation to strive for victory.
