THE ASHANTI REGIONAL NDC ADWENGO ADWOSUA PLAN TO SUPPORT DR. BAWUMIA IN THE UPCOMING ELECTIONS

A significant number of opposition members from the National Democratic Congress (NDC) have transitioned to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) during an event at Adwengo Adwosuo in the Ashanti Region.

These dedicated NDC supporters publicly expressed their commitment to support the ruling party while attending a grassroots campaign led by the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the NPP, Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, commonly referred to as Chairman Wontumi.

They indicated that their decision to back the NPP’s presidential candidate, H.E. Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, is based on his effective and superior policies for the nation. However, they emphasized that his religious affiliation did not influence their choice to vote for him.

We are NDC members but we’re voting for Dr. Bawumia in the coming general elections. His policies are good and we are therefore voting for him.

They elaborated that they have gained significant advantages from the Free SHS initiative and believe it is appropriate to support the NPP in order to continue receiving such progressive policies.

Let us confess, we’ve benefited from the Free SHS. Through that we were able to enroll our kids at St. Louis and Yaa Asantewaa without committing resources. Ghanaians have really benefited from the Free SHS policy, that’s why we’ve resolved to vote for the NPP for more of such initiatives to be implemented.

Following this, the members of the NDC received T-shirts featuring Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia prominently displayed on them. The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the NPP is presently conducting a grassroots campaign throughout the region in support of the party’s presidential candidate.

During this campaign, numerous defections from the opposition NDC to the NPP have been noted. Chairman Wontumi has pledged to achieve an extraordinary margin in the upcoming elections on December 7, aiming to further extend the lead within the party’s stronghold.
