Dr. Frank Bannor, Head of Research at the Danquah Institute and Development Economist, has highlighted the importance of Vice President and NPP Flagbearer Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s vision for digital talent development for Ghana’s competitiveness in the Fourth Industrial Revolution’s rapidly changing global economy.
He went on to say that Dr. Bawumia’s goal of integrating digital technologies into the economy’s many sectors is in line with current global trends, which see the rise of digital talent and innovation as crucial instruments for economic transformation.
He claimed that Ghana would be in a strong position to take advantage of innovation and technology for long-term prosperity and job creation under Dr. Bawumia’s direction. “As we move into a new era, technology, automation, and artificial intelligence are upending established economic structures.
In order for Ghana to maintain its competitiveness, we require leaders who are committed to investing in digital infrastructure and human capital development, in addition to being aware of these global trends. Dr. Bannor continued, “And Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is the President we need.”
He pointed out that the digitization of important industries like banking, healthcare, and education by Dr. Bawumia has already created a solid basis for future economic success. Dr. Bawumia must keep funding innovation and digital skills if Ghana is to draw in more international capital and produce high-caliber jobs for its young people. “Ghana will lead the Fourth Industrial Revolution thanks to Dr. Bawumia’s vision of a digital economy. We have to make sure we don’t fall behind,” he emphasized.
