THE GHANA SMART SCHOOLS PROJECT IS TO AID GHANAIAN STUDENTS TO COMPETE GLOBALLY – DR. BAWUMIA

Vice President of Ghana and the Flagbearer for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia says the Ghana Smart Schools Project is to aid Ghanaian Students to compete globally.

In a post on his X page (Formerly Twitter), Dr. Bawumia revealed that the Ghana Smart Schools Project which was launched yesterday is an initiative intended to aid Ghanaian students to equip themselves with knowledge about digitalization and technology and to further give them the opportunity to compete on the global stage.

He also indicated that the project is an enhancement of the government’s plan and strategy to grip firmly on technology to modernize the education sector to meet international standard.

‘‘This project is an extension of the government’s policy of leveraging technology to digitalize our education to meet global demands and enable Ghanaian students to compete globally’’.

Dr. Bawumia assured the public by stating that the government will be steadfast in its quest to champion the use of technology and in so doing digitalize the education sector to promote growth and establish unlimited possibilities and opportunities for growth and development.

‘‘Government will continue to empower Ghanaian Students to learn the smart way to ensure limitless possibilities for growth’’.

The Ghana Smart Schools Project is designed to equip students under the free SHS policy with the essential technological skills which falls in line with the government’s aim and vision with regards to advancing education through technology.

The project, which was spearheaded by the Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia seeks to distribute Smart Tablets to over 1.3 million Senior High School Students nationwide.
