THE NDC IS MERELY PREPARING ITS SUPPORTERS FOR AN IMPENDING LOSS – JUSTIN KODUA

Justin Frimpong Kodua, the General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has charged the National Democratic Congress (NDC) with instigating its supporters to contest the legitimacy of the forthcoming December 2024 elections.

On September 17, the NDC organized a nationwide demonstration, calling for an audit of the provisional voter’s register, citing various irregularities that they argued could compromise the integrity of the election.

The Electoral Commission (EC) has refuted these allegations. In an interview on Adom FM’s morning program, Dwaso Nsem, on Wednesday, Mr. Kodua accused the NDC of fomenting disorder in anticipation of the elections.

In 2015, we raised more concerns with the EC, backed with evidence, yet the NDC… Where is this list of discrepancies they say they have?

He disapproved of the NDC for not substantiating their claims against the Electoral Commission.

He who alleges has to prove, so where is their proof?

Mr. Kodua further characterized the recent nationwide protest organized by the NDC as an inefficient use of resources, implying that the party frequently deceives its supporters by instilling unrealistic expectations. He also expressed his support for the Electoral Commission, asserting that.

The EC is only doing its job. What is the use of the EC if you are calling for a third party to come and do their job for them?

He encouraged the NDC to concentrate on its campaign efforts rather than creating disturbances, highlighting that elections are a significant matter that must be handled with due responsibility.

Where is the list of discrepancies they claim to have? They asked for evidence of the allegations but haven’t provided any. The burden of proof lies with the accuser, so where is their evidence?

Even a neutral person would say that the NDC’s demonstration yesterday was a waste of resources. It seems like they are always manipulating their supporters and giving them false hope. The EC is simply doing its job. What’s the use of the EC if you’re calling for a third party to come and do their job for them? Elections are a serious matter, and the NDC should focus on their campaign and stop wasting everyone’s time.
