The President of the North East Regional House of Chiefs, Ndugna Nayiri Naa Bohugu Abdulai Sheriga, expressed gratitude on behalf of the House towards Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for his exemplary conduct during the ongoing campaign for the 2024 elections.
During an interactive session held in Nalerigu on Monday between Dr. Bawumia and the North East Regional House of Chiefs, the President, who also serves as the Overlord of Mamprugu, praised Dr. Bawumia’s decorum and encouraged him to maintain his civility.
I have observed so far the civility and the admirable with which you conduct your campaign…I will urge you to continue in same manner.
The Nayiri also commended Dr. Bawumia for his remarkable works as Vice President and assured him of the Region’s support in his bid to become the President of Ghana.
As we prepare for election this year, the least we can do for you, as the son of the soil, is to honour you with the opportunity to serve at the highest echelon of state power.
We shall not turn our back on you, especially having demonstrated competence, loyalty, resilience and more importantly regard to the institution of Chieftaincy.
I am deeply persuaded that you have it in you to carry out the task ahead. You can rise to the challenge and uphold the good name of Ghana and make her greater and stronger.
