The New Patriotic Party’s flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, presented compelling evidence of infrastructure developments in the Tatale/Sanguli constituency of the Northern Region, affirming the government’s commitment to fulfilling its promises to the people.
In my 2020 campaign visit here, I pledged that if you entrusted me and the NPP with your mandate, we would repair this crucial road connecting Tatale to Yendi and Tamale.
Today, you can witness the substantial progress made on this road. Nearly 167km of roadwork is nearing completion. The contractor has informed me that they anticipate finishing within two months.
These were the sentiments expressed by Dr. Bawumia, the NPP flagbearer, during a community engagement in Tatale, Tatale/Sanguli constituency, Northern Region, over the weekend. Dr. Bawumia highlighted that, as Vice President, he has already delivered on the promises made to the people.
The road currently under construction is the longest road built by this administration. This achievement underscores our commitment to fulfilling our pledges,
he stated. He assured the gathering that should he be elected president on December 7th, he would continue to fulfill his promises to them.
Since assuming office in 2017, only 17 communities in Tatale/Sanguli had access to the national electricity grid. Today, after just eight years, the number has risen to 44,
he confirmed. He emphasized that the government was working to solve the water crisis.
We have sunk 175 boreholes in various communities within the constituency and more are planned,
He also announced the construction of an Agenda 111 hospital in Tatale/Sanguli and an expansion of agricultural inputs, healthcare, and education.
Dr. Bawumia urged the people to maintain their faith in him and the NPP in the 2024 elections, noting the party’s commitment to developing the constituency.
We are addressing the challenges facing the people of this constituency. If you look at the work we have done in Tatale/Sanguli, you will see that I have brought more development than my opponent, John Mahama, who served as both Vice President and President.
While the north declined under John Mahama, it has experienced significant growth under Nana Akufo-Addo and Dr. Bawumia.
If elected President, you will see even more,
he concluded.
