CEO of the National Youth Authority (NYA) and New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Parlimentary Candidate for Asuogyaman Constituency, Pius Enam Hadzie has indicated that the swearing in of Flagbearer for the New Patriotic Party Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia come December 7th 2025 will be a great source of joy and pride.
According Mr. Hadzie, the inauguration of Dr. Bawumia, a Muslim, will mark a notable divergence from Ghana’s documented norms, where all past President with the exception of Dr. Hilla Limann, took their oath of office with the bible. He mentioned that if Dr. Bawumia is elected as President, he will be sworn in with the Holy Quran and he believes this will mark a significant change the history of this country.
Since the days of our forefathers, all presidents we have had are Christians, sworn into office with the bible. For the first time in this history of Ghana insha Allah 7th January 2025, we will have a new president who will raise the Holy Quran to swear. It will be a pride for all people of faith in this country regardless of the party you support.
He emphasized on the fact that the Islamic region will witness a rise in power and dominance in the country under the governance of Dr. Bawumia. He urged the Muslims in the country to support their own because it is their turn to rule and reign.
Islamic Religion will have strong influence and authority. I tell you. it will become powerful in Ghana. So it is the turn of Muslims in country. I strongly believe that this election, Muslims will support their own in this contest.
Mr. Hadzie added that the policies and initiatives for the Muslim community will transform and change their lives citing reforms in the Hajj Pilgrimage process to enhance potency and the establishment of the Zongo Development Fund among other policies to transform the Zongo and Muslim Community.
