Traders at Mallam Atta Market in Accra have expressed their unwavering support for Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, emphasizing the importance of his leadership in advancing the nation’s progress.
During his campaign tour of the Greater Accra Region, Dr. Bawumia visited the Mallam Atta Market on Tuesday morning, where he received an enthusiastic welcome from the traders.
The traders warmly embraced Dr. Bawumia, thereby endorsing his candidacy for the presidency. In discussions with journalists during his visit, several traders articulated their reasons for favoring Dr. Bawumia as the ideal leader for Ghana.
Foremost among their reasons was the Free Senior High School policy, which they highlighted as a significant relief for both themselves and their children.
We voted for Nana Akufo-Addo and the NPP and we can say that it has been beneficial because our children have benefitted from Free SHS, so we want to continue with the progress with Bawumia.
My two child have benefitted from the Free SHS and I am voting for the NPP and Bawumia.
Several traders have highlighted the discrepancies associated with former President John Mahama and his National Democratic Congress (NDC) concerning the Free Senior High School initiative.
We cannot trust Mahama and the NDC with Free SHS and the future of our children because we know what they said about it in the past. That is their real intentions.
This market used to be very bad. And whenever it rained, it was very difficult for us. But now it has been developed with roads and all that. This is also another reason we will be voting for the NPP.
