Addressing health workers, journalists, and security personnel directly, Dr. Bawumia outlined the transformative initiatives undertaken by the current administration to improve their working conditions and enhance service delivery in these vital sectors.
Since taking office, we inherited a security sector riddled with challenges. Today, our security services are stronger and better equipped. The Ghana Police Service now boasts over 46,000 officers—nearly 13,000 more than when we took office,
We have also doubled the size of the Fire Service to 15,000 officers and expanded the Prisons and Immigration Services.
Highlighting infrastructure upgrades, he shared that more than 900 vehicles and three helicopters have been added to the Police Service, alongside the installation of over 11,000 cameras across the country to improve surveillance. He also pointed to the improvement in living conditions for security personnel, with new barracks and housing units to accommodate officers.
The Vice President also celebrated the peaceful resolution of the Dagbon chieftaincy conflict as a testament to his administration’s commitment to national unity. He promised to further enhance border security by expanding surveillance systems and increasing the number of security officers.
Turning his focus to the media, Dr. Bawumia noted that the passage of the Right to Information (RTI) law has empowered journalists, while the establishment of the University of Media, Arts, and Communication (UniMAC) has provided more opportunities for media professionals. He highlighted the impact of 5G technology and improved broadband services, which have significantly bolstered the media’s ability to operate.
Dr. Bawumia also addressed the health sector, reaffirming his commitment to completing the Agenda 111 hospitals initiative and expanding the Zipline drone service to enhance healthcare delivery across the country.
I humbly ask for your support to continue the progress we have made together. When you go to the voting booth, vote for me
