WE CAN’T TRUST A LEADER WHO DOES NOT BELIEVE IN FREE SHS – NEW EDUBIASE CHIEF

Nana Oduro Panin Burikuran, the Chief of New Edubiase, has praised the NPP government’s Free SHS policy, describing it as a transformative intervention in Ghana’s education sector.

The Chief expressed gratitude to President Nana Akufo-Addo and Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for fulfilling their promise of Free SHS, noting that the initiative has significantly eased the financial burdens of parents and guardians.

He emphasized that due to the profound impact of the Free SHS policy, Ghanaians must safeguard it from potential cancellation by any future government.

Highlighting the policy’s origin under the NPP, Nana Oduro Panin stated that the best way to ensure its continuity, which has positively affected every household, is to keep the party in government.

Sharing a personal example, the Chief explained, “I have 5 children, 3 of whom have benefited from the NPP’s Free SHS policy, and I didn’t have to pay anything. I want the remaining 2 children to also enjoy free quality education.”

He continued, “I cannot risk their future by trusting a leader who does not believe in Free SHS. Millions of people across the country also share a similar story. This is one of the many reasons why Ghanaians must support the NPP.”

Nana Oduro made these comments during a courtesy visit by Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, NPP Vice Presidential Candidate, to his palace on Monday, 23rd September 2024, as part of the candidate’s campaign tour.

The Chief also lauded the government for implementing several developmental projects in the area, including road construction, schools, and health infrastructure.

In response, Dr. Prempeh thanked the Chief and the people of New Edubiase for their warm hospitality and urged them to vote in large numbers for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and the NPP’s parliamentary candidate for the constituency, George Oduro, to reclaim the New Edubiase seat for the party.

Concluding his campaign tour for the day, Dr. Prempeh also visited Obuasi East and West, where he rallied support for NPP flagbearer Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and parliamentary candidates Dr. Patrick Boakye-Yiadom and Kweku Kwarteng for the Obuasi East and West constituencies, respectively.
