Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has reaffirmed the commitment of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government to continue allocating essential resources for the advancement of education in the nation.

He emphasized the significance placed on education, which is vital for cultivating the skilled workforce necessary for various sectors of the economy.

Dr. Bawumia made this statement during an address delivered on his behalf by Prof. Kingsley Nyarko, the Deputy Minister for Education responsible for Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET), at the commencement of the three-day Ghana Teacher Prize event currently taking place in Kumasi.

The event, themed “Valuing Teachers’ Voice: Towards a New Social Contract for Education,” will culminate on Saturday with the presentation of awards to exemplary and deserving teachers from across the country.

As we move towards a new social contract for education, we recognize the importance of teacher voices. Your insights, feedback, and innovative ideas will continue to shape the digital agenda. The government is committed to providing you with the necessary support to thrive in this new environment, ensuring that you remain at the center of our educational reforms.
